Dr. Kamp works with Mutua General de Catalunya. All other treatments are billed as private services. Invoices are issued according to the German medical fee schedule (GOÄ) and are available in German, English and Spanish.

Yes. Please use only a sterile urine container, available from any pharmacy or from our practice in advance.

For certain ultrasound examinations, the bladder and prostate are easier to assess when the bladder is full. A urine sample may also be required afterwards. If this applies to your appointment, we will tell you when booking.

Blood draws are routinely scheduled Monday to Wednesday between 9 and 11 am. Hormone levels should be measured before 11 am; lipid and blood sugar tests require fasting. When in doubt, please come fasting, meaning at least 8 hours without food or sugary drinks.

No special preparation is required and, as a rule, fasting is not necessary. If you receive sedation, you must not drive afterwards. Please arrange for someone to collect you directly from our practice or take a taxi.

Sedation involves calming medication that promotes relaxation. You remain able to breathe independently and respond to speech, but are significantly less aware of the procedure. This helps reduce anxiety and makes the examination more comfortable.

No. Fasting is generally not required for a cystoscopy. If other instructions apply in your case, we will let you know in advance.

If you have received sedation, please arrange to be collected directly from our practice and do not drive yourself. If you have questions or unusual symptoms, please contact us by phone.

The IPSS (International Prostate Symptom Score) is a standardised questionnaire for assessing lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS). It records urgency, nocturia and a weak urinary stream, among other symptoms, and helps document their severity and development objectively. The ICIQ-SF is a short questionnaire about involuntary urine leakage. It records frequency and amount, the effect on daily life and typical situations; the extended clinic version also asks about urgency, pads, fluid intake and relevant medical conditions. This helps us classify symptoms and compare changes over time. You can find the questionnaire under questionnaires and downloads.

The MRS records eleven common menopausal symptoms, including hot flushes, sleep and mood changes, exhaustion, sexual concerns, urinary symptoms and vaginal dryness. Each symptom is rated from 0 (none) to 4 (very severe). The result supports the consultation and follow-up over time. You can find the questionnaire under questionnaires and downloads.

In a bladder diary, you usually record the time and amount you drink, urine volume, urgency and involuntary leakage over three days. It gives an objective picture of drinking and toilet habits and helps assess symptoms and possible triggers. You can find the diary under questionnaires and downloads.

Pelvic floor physiotherapy assesses and trains the interaction between the pelvic floor, sphincter muscles, breathing, posture and movement. It is suitable for women and men, for example with stress or urge incontinence, pelvic floor weakness, prolapse symptoms, or before and after urological or gynaecological procedures.

A physiotherapy assessment follows the preliminary medical examination. Together, we define personal goals and an individual treatment plan. Based on the BeBo® concept, treatment combines body awareness, breathing, posture and functional training for everyday life and may be used preventively, conservatively, and before or after surgery.

Non-intimate biofeedback records the activity of the pelvic floor and sphincter system and makes it visible. This helps you perceive contraction and relaxation, learn functional movement patterns more precisely and monitor progress during treatment.

Appointment requests can be made by phone, email or through the online appointment request. We speak German, English and Spanish. Please provide your name, the reason for your visit and your preferred times.

Please cancel at least 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a cancellation fee.

Please bring a valid photo ID, proof of insurance if applicable, relevant prior medical records or referral letters, a current medication list, and previous lab results or imaging such as CT, MRI or ultrasound if available.

Yes. We accept records as PDF by email, on CD or DVD, or as paper documents. Whenever possible, please send them before your appointment so they can be reviewed in advance.

Results and invoices can be sent digitally by email or, on request, by post. Invoices follow the German GOÄ fee schedule and are available in German, English and Spanish. They are suitable for submission to German private health insurers.

For acute symptoms such as severe pain, visible blood in the urine or urinary retention, please contact us as soon as possible. If hospital treatment may be required or the practice is unavailable, go directly to an emergency department, for example Hospital Universitari Son Espases in Palma.
